New Zealand is known for its stunning, unique scenery, and Te Puia is no exception to this rule.

• Te Puia is a geothermal park and Māori cultural centre, home to the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute.
• The Pōhutu Geyser is the star of the show here. Translating to ‘constant splashing’, this is the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere, erupting once or twice every hour, sometimes reaching heights of 30 minutes.
• For hundreds of years, the local Māori people have been using the geothermal power of Rotorua’s Whakarewarewa Valley to cook.
• Te Puia’s Pātaka Kai restaurant, bar and function centre offers diners spectacular views over the Geyser and the geothermal valley, with Chef Irihei giving visitors a food experience they will never forget.
• The geothermal pools are used to cook a variety of foods, such as mussels, eggs and corn, with the mineral rich water brings different flavours to the food.
• The water in the pools sits between 100-100 degrees.
